Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer, was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017 following her signed with Warner Bros Records. The album reached number. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles that were released, including Be the First I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. The album, which has since been certified platinum in a variety of nations around the globe was awarded two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) for British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was born in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Her parents are of Kosovo Albanian descent. Bosnian roots through her grandmother. Also, her ancestors come from the Kosovo town of Peja. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa's father, the musician and lead singer from the Kosovan band Oda was a major influence on her music. While at home, her father would play his original compositions along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at age five. In the age of nine she started learning to sing. Lipa performed Beautiful by Christina Aguilera And If Ain't Give It To You by Alicia Keys. In 2014 Lipa was signed to a contract in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. The first single she released was New Love was released in August, 2015.
